Monday 6th July 2004 - Today Group Flight UK is announcing the 2nd year of our big raffle, which is considered to be one of the biggest and best the Flight Simulator Community has ever seen! Not only this but we are giving away prizes to pilots who are willing to do what they love most, fly planes!
Our event sees the pilots from all corners of the United Kingdom fly our replica Airbus A320 Flight Deck around the world to raise money for children's charities each summer. It isn't just some wood and glue painted to look like an Airbus A320 cockpit! Oh no, all our panels are amazing replica panels from Flight Deck Solutions (www.flightdecksolutions.com) and we're utilising the accurate Airbus software produced by Project Magenta (www.projectmagenta.com).
To top this, the worlds leading lifejackets supplier, RFD Beaufort, has even donated real lifejackets and In-flight Catering Services have provided us with top class airline food. All these small things add to the realism (and stress in some cases) for our pilots and the even have a mountain of paperwork to fill in for each flight!
The event has attracted a lot of interest from people around the world and we are ecstatic to be able to say that the celebrity Jeremy Spake, from the BBC's hit TV show Airport, will be piloting our aircraft for some of the flights!
In co-operation with our principle sponsor, easyJet, we announce our 2004 raffle in aid of the global charity organisation, Save the Children.
This year we have bettered our last years raffle and for the same price of £1/€1.50/$1.80 you can win the following, with all of your money going straight to Save the Children!

Don't worry we expect you to sleep sometime and we don't expect any pilot to fly all flights with us, as since the event last a nearly a week they must be cheating!
The flights will be hassle free as you will be emailed or faxed your flight plan or even can be given it oven Instant Messaging. If you are thinking of cheating and flying whilst you sleep, we have overcome this by randomly checking up on all remote pilots and asking ATC to inform us of anyone not responding!
