    GoFlight Announces X-Plane Support

Other flight sim related news Now available is the second public beta release of GoFlight's software for X-Plane 7.30 and newer. With this plug-in, X-Plane pilots can use the full line of GoFlight control modules, including the latest GF-TQ6 throttle system and GF-46 module. For full details, click on Read More.

BEAVERTON, OREGON - July 22, 2004 - GoFlight, Inc. today announces the second public beta release of its "plugin" software package for X-Plane, which is compatible with X-Plane versions 7.30 and newer.

This new release of the plugin includes a software-based configuration window that is accessed through X-Plane's menus. Using this panel, all cockpit function assignments to GoFlight modules can be assigned, changed, and tested while the simulator is running. The entire range of modules is now supported, including the newest GF-46 module. This release also enables the GF-TQ6 Throttle System to control up to 8 individual aircraft engines. When flying X-Plane aircraft with more than four engines, such as the NASA B-52, two GF-TQ6 units can be used to control each of the B-52's eight engines individually.

Other new functions include control of EFIS map mode, range and symbology display; ECAM display modes on the larger passenger jets; completely open-ended configuration of knobs and buttons on the GF-MCP including functions like LNAV and VNAV; and up to eight avionics modes operated concurrently using a single GF-46.

A complete 90+ - page cockpit function reference manual is included in the Beta 2 plugin package, along with a README file with easy-to-follow installation instructions.

This software is available now, free of charge to all GoFlight customers, by simply downloading from the Support section of the GoFlight Web site.

The official 1.0 release of the X-Plane plugin is now scheduled for early September 2004, and will include support for a new GoFlight product that is yet to be announced.
