RealScenery.com is proud to announce the scenery collection covering the beautiful Tucson, Arizona metropolitan area. This is a follow-up to the very successful Seattle-Tacoma Washington scenery introduced earlier this year. The Tucson area offers awesome flying in the beautiful Arizona desert and the Catalina Mountains. The full scenery package includes nearly 500 unique images in three resolutions for a total of nearly 1500 images! In addition, taxiways, ramp areas, taxiway lines and road vectors have also been rebuilt from the ground up using high-resolution aerial photography. The quality of the aerial photography is outstanding. Bright, crisp photos with great color balance and contrast. You can even see the lines on the tennis courts when flying over the University of Arizona campus or the many golf and tennis resort communities! Make sure to check out the Image and Screenshot Galleries for samples of this great new scenery package. We've provided a great collection of very cool screenshots of the desert scenery. The cloud-shadowing effects when flying with this scenery in X-Plane are incredible!
The scenery was professionally produced over several months using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and image processing software. The techniques used to generate the scenery are so accurate, that no runways needed to be adjusted! The runway locations in X-Plane match the scenery exactly! This results in all navaids and obstacles remaining in their correct position relative to the runways, which is very important for navigation and instrument procedures. The result is truly awesome scenery that appears seamless across the entire area! The Tucson area scenery covers 720 square miles or 1865 square kilometers. There is also an expansion pack that adds nearly 200 more unique images to the west side of the Tucson metro area. This covers an additional 240 square miles or 521 square kilometers of beautiful Arizona desert.
Please visit www.RealScenery.com for complete information. Included on the web site are sample images used to create the scenery, lots of cool screenshots of what the scenery looks like when flying X- Plane and all the details of how the scenery was created as well as ordering information. There is a demo set of scenery data available on the website as well. This is some of the highest quality image- based scenery ever produced for X-Plane. We're sure you'll enjoy what you see!
Be sure to check out the great review of the Seattle-Tacoma scenery in this month's Computer Pilot magazine.
As stated in the review, "The scenery is accurate and splendidly executed. The flexibility of the system is innovative and outstanding. On top of all that, the price is right. Go for it!"
