On Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 24th, the 11th annual PC-Flugtag will be held at Flugwerft Oberschleissheim near Munich, Germany. Due to the overwhelming success of past events, PC-Flugtag has been extended to a two day exhibition. During the PC-Flugtag, members of the organizing Flight Simulators Club FSC e.V. will present the world of general aviation flight simulation through presentations and live demonstrations. The following activities are planned:
Individual demonstrations on stand-alone personal computers, home build cockpits and info stands. Visitors learn about PC based general aviation simulation and have the opportunity to engage experts in enlightening discussion.
Presentations. Starting at 1:00 p.m. daily, lectures will be held in the Flugwerft’s conferencing facilities. Combining experiences from both real world and simulated aviation, experts will explain real-world procedures and share their knowledge on the latest in hardware and software.
Virtual Air Traffic Control. With the advent of the Internet, multiple organizations have arisen providing PC Pilots with real-time online air traffic control. The virtual air traffic control organizations IVAO, VATSIM and FPI will show how it’s done.
Network flying. Interested PC Pilots have the opportunity to partake in live multiplayer flying. Three air traffic controllers provide guidance for up to 15 PC-Pilots on planned flights.
