This is a new and much-enhanced version of the earlier panels designed by Gerard Lafaye. It is a major revision of and extension to the previous software and now contains more than 22,000 lines of code and more than 1350 bitmaps. The software provides a complete panel based on photographs of an actual Boeing 747-400 made by Jean Luc Boinet. It also contains easy-to-use calculation sheets for both fuel and load.
Complete documentation in both English and French is supplied. The English documentation has been edited by Bill Hickman. The main improvements over the previous versions are:
- The overhead panel now has all switches moving and/or operational
- The forward panel now has complete and detailed PFD, MFD and EICAS windows
- The forward panel gauges have all been rewritten to provide increased accuracy and realism
- The failures management subsystem accurately informs the pilot of any in-flight failure generated by Flight Simulator, enabling him/her to take realistic corrective action
The panel has been successfully tested with Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
An unrestricted licence to use this new version is can be obtained for just $15 (USD) from JSGPanels at www.JSGPanels.com. Please note that complete documentation in both English and French is available on this site for you to read before you make the decision to buy.
