PC Aviator Announces MegaScenery USA 2005 Volume 5: Washington DC, Baltimore plus 20,000 square miles of surrounding Mid Atlantic region of the United States

SOUTH CAROLINA, 19 JULY 2005. Flightsim add-on software publisher, PC Aviator, today announced the fifth title in its MegaScenery series of photo-scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - MegaScenery Volume 5: Washington DC/Baltimore/Mid Atlantic.

Flightsim pilots can now soar the Flight Simulator skies and take in all the sights and scenery over 20,000 square miles of the Mid Atlantic region of the United States in photo-real detail including: the nation's capital Washington DC, Baltimore, northern Virginia, including Richmond, and Chesapeake Bay.

Known for its busyness both on the ground and in the air this region of the USA gives flightsimmers plenty to see and enjoy from the air including flying into three of the major international airports this area is renowned for - Washington Dulles International (IAD), Washington National (DCA) and Baltimore Washington international (BWI). These three airports combined handle up to 4,000 movements a day and are all within a 40 mile radius of each other.

This busy area, 5,000 square miles including the cities of Washington DC and Baltimore, is recreated in MegaCITY source resolution of 2 feet per pixel aerial photos supplied by the world's leading aerial photograph provider AirPhotoUSA. The remaining 15,000 square miles of rural regions are sourced from 5 meter per pixel satellite imagery.

This is the first time that this Mid Atlantic region has been covered at this size and in so much detail as scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It will give flightsim pilots hundreds upon hundreds of hours to soar and explore the very busy Mid Atlantic skies on their PCs with Microsoft Flight Simulator.

MegaScenery USA 2005 - Volume 5 - Washington DC/Baltimore/Mid Atlantic will be available in early Qtr 4 2005. It will be available on DVD in Full Kit ($39.95) and Lite ($29.95) versions on DVD. Full Kit versions provides users with full color aeronautical maps and charts of the area.

It will be available through a number of retail chains in the USA including Fry's Electronics and Microcenter stores, through specialist flight simulator dealers and direct from the publisher at http://www.megascenery.com/

It expands the number of MegaScenery & MegaCITY scenery titles in this successful product line to 9 titles.

More information is available for viewing at the MegaScenery website at www.megascenery.com
