Now available from www.maxtac.it site is the new Aermacchi Mb339 PAN model, the
Italian trainer used by the "Freccie Tricolori" the acrobatic team of Italian
Air Force.
The completely new 3D model made by Massimo Taccoli with FSDS 2.11 contains a
new 2D panel made by Paolo Zamparo who made also more than 100 new gauges for
this panel; he took care also of the new dynamics and the package of the model.
The model is painted with photorealistic reflective textures and has all
possible moving parts with realistically made undercarriage with operating
suspension, rolling wheels and nose steering wheels. The cockpit canopy opens to
show the interior with operating levers, pedals and control columns for both
front and rear seat. It has also an operating airbrake.
Besides all that above it has a virtual 3D cockpit with operating levers,
pedals and panel gauges. By night panel is lighted and aircraft has operating
lights which are visible from both inside and outside of it. The avionics of the
model are intentionally sophisticated, to serve as a virtual trainer for FS2002
virtual pilots. The model has been tested by some members of VAMI group (Virtual
Aeronautica Militare Italiana), we have also had some help from true Italian
Military pilots of Frecce Tricolori.
The model is freeware and can be downloaded from:
