The 4th flight simulator conference organized by Aerosoft at the Airport of Paderborn saw a new record attendance.
On 21st October more than 800 flightsim enthusiasts found the way into the Airport-Forum at Paderborn Airport. In total 8 expert speakers of the world of flight simulation and 24 exhibitors, showing everything revolving around flight simulation, made this a very special event.
There was an enormous interest in the speakers and seminars with the 200-seater lecture room always filled to its capacity. The seminar of 'FS-guru' Maurizio Gavioli from Genoa on the topic 'Life inside flight simulator' is only one of many worth a special mention.
Brett Schnepf, the new 'Community-manager' of Microsoft, USA, and about 40 add-on developers from more than 10 countries were at the helm to answer the visitors questions, in particular questions about the just released Microsoft Flight Simulator X, about new projects, ideas and future products.
The traditional 'Captains-dinner', which was fully booked for weeks in advance, hosted the 'SimFlight-Awards' voted for by the flightsim users. The attendants were especially delighted to see this years lifetime award handed over to Dr. Burkhard Renk, the developer of MyTraffic and many other programs.
After this very successful conference we are already thinking about next year's show. And with the perfect help, organization and co-operation of the airport of Paderborn/Lippstadt there is no reason why we shouldn't.
