The IVAO Events Department proudly announces the first installment of the "Real Flights Event" set to takeoff on Sunday, January 14th.
The Real Flights Event is designed to simulate the real-world air traffic at an airport on a given day. Each eligible division may post a bid for an airport within their division highlighting the countryside, construction, or anything else interesting about their airport. Once these bids have been received, they are then posted for the general membership to review and vote for their favorite.
For the first Real Flights Event, Milan Malpensa (LIMC) located in Northern Italy has been voted upon as the favorite airport and will play host to 264 flights spanning Europe and Asia over an 8 hours period on Sunday, January 14th. Of course it goes without saying that full ATC coverage will be available in the Milan area as well as at many other destinations listed in the timetables.
The host division, Italy, in cooperation with the IVAO Events Department, has put together a web site full of everything a controller or pilot will need in order to participate including the online reservation/booking system which can be found at:

The IVAO Events Department wishes you a Happy New Year and hopes to see you in the skies over Milan on Sunday, January 14th.
