It's full steam ahead for the Oz Flight Sim Expo at Conrad Jupiters! A number of new exhibitors have confirmed their intention to participate in this event. Golden Shield Entertainment based in Perth, Western Australia are planning to send over a few of their cockpit shells to the Expo. They are custom made to customer requirements. Click on Read More for the full story.
If you need the cockpit shell for a 737, F/A-18 Superhornet or Cessna, Golden Shield can make it to your specifications. Their web site will be live soon, so I'll keep you posted on that.
A very exciting development is the involvement of the Royal Australian Air Force. They are very keen to participate in this event. I can't go into specifics on what they'll have at the Expo, however, I'm sure it will delight every aviation and flight simulation enthusiast!
I have posted a new FAQ section regarding Accommodation at Conrad Jupiters. Browse through the questions and hopefully you'll find some answers. Feel free to contact me via the Oz Flight Sim Expo web site if there is any questions that aren't covered in this section, and I will update the FAQ page accordingly.
In other news, after some pretty extensive number crunching, I have made it even easier for Non Profit organisations to participate in this event. I have totally removed the Display fee! No, I haven't gone mad at all. In a valiant effort to reduce costs for non profit organisations, and secure their participation was to eliminate the 2 day Expo Display Fee. There was also all sorts of additional criteria that had to be dealt with. This has now been eliminated. It will now cost a total of $252 for the whole weekend, with the breakdown as follows:
$100 deposit
$152 for Bump In/Out and Power consumption.
Refunds to non profit organisations at the end of the Expo no longer apply. It would be advantageous if Exhibitors were to book accommodation at Conrad Jupiter's to help offset the venue hire charges. This news has been well received by all non-profit exhibitors. If all 400 rooms are booked under the Flight Sim Expo, well we can happily waive the Expo Display Fee for ALL exhibitors, as the venue hire charge will be complimentary. The only fee what would be charged is the deposit and the bump in/out and power fee ($252). These costs are pretty darn good for a 2 day Expo with access to the venue for set up and pack up, power consumption and access to the conference room to deliver a 50 minute presentation!
For those overseas and can't attend the Expo, please consider making a donation. Donations received will assist the Oz Flight Sim Expo in running costs for the event. I will list everyone on the web site who have made donations to the Oz Flight Sim Expo. To make a donation, visit the web site and check out the top right hand corner of the webpage. Your financial assistance is appreciated!
Well that's all the news for now. Keep watching the web site and the FlightSim.Com News for more exciting updates.
Only 161 days to go!
Cheers!
