FSX Mexicana Airbus A320-200

Mexicana Airbus A320-231 F-OHMI returns in the classic “Azteca” scheme with two era-correct variants from 2000–2003 and 2003–2005, including the “Bogota” destination badge. Built for FSX, it features a fully functional virtual cockpit, multiple external and wing views, rich high-quality sounds, and 32-bit textures repainted from real photos.

Project Airbus repaint of Mexicana's Airbus A320-231 F-OHMI in the old "Azteca" colors livery, one of the earliest and most classical liveries Mexicana ever had. It comes with two liveries; one used between 2000-2003, and one used in 2003-2005. This aircraft, tail number F-OHMI, as any other Mexicana airplane in this livery, had a badge naming one of the destinations of the airline; this one is "Bogota", a rather popular destination of Mexicana. Comes with a fully functional VC, several external and wing views, and a realistic, high-quality sound pack. The texture files were accurately repainted from real-life photos, and saved in 32 bit format. Repaint and file compilation by Luke Powell.

Installation:

  • Simply drop all the folders & files into your Microsft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Simobjects/airplanes folder. Unzip the "Effects" file into the Simulator Effects folder, for an enhanced flying experience.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    I can only get the fuel to run from the center tank.. It will stall out if the center tank is empty regardless of how much fuel is in the other tanks.. Any suggestions? Regards, Sam
