RealAir And Flight1 In New Partnership

Posted on Tuesday, October 23 @ 03:55:57 BST by darklord

Other flight sim related news Two of the best-loved names in flight simulation, Flight1 Software and RealAir Simulations, have today announced a partnership that will see RealAir products published in boxed editions and available for electronic sale via Flight1.

RealAir Simulations has been creating quality flight simulation software since 2001. In that time it has developed a reputation for creating the finest quality and most innovative aircraft expansions for Microsoft's Flight Simulator series and picked up many awards along the way.

The innovations RealAir has introduced to the Microsoft Flight Simulator world are many, such as: the first aircraft with accurate stall and spin behaviour; the first aircraft with realistic side-slip behaviour; exclusive 'Smooth Gauge Technology' which brings incredible smoothness and clarity to virtual cockpit gauges; their exclusive 'RealView', a system that simulates the forces experienced by a pilot in flight as well as simulating the buffet felt during a stall; realistically simulated engine failures; user-configurable VC panel layouts, and much more.

Flight1 has for ten years been both developer and publisher with a strong affinity with real aviation, be its official development work with aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus Military, ATR or Pilatus or its award-winning GA aircraft expansions.

Flight1 Europe's Managing Director, Mungo Amyatt-Leir commented on the partnership:

"We're naturally delighted to be working with RealAir, not just because of the superb quality of their products, but our two companies share the same goals when it comes to flight simulation - they have developed some of the few real 'pilots aircraft' that don't just hit the right numbers, but also feel right when flown in Flight Simulator. With real pilots on staff, that's something we really appreciate. Flight1 is really looking forward to taking their titles to a wider audience both in the simulation and real aviation communities."

Rob Young at RealAir Simulations added: "Up to now our affiliate associations have been limited because we are concerned that our customers get first class support and quality after-sales care commensurate with RealAir's hard won reputation. Our new partnership with Flight1 is an indication of our recognition of, and trust in, Flight1's staff and organisation. We are very excited about this partnership and we know that our new association will not only enhance RealAir's standing in the flight simulator community but also make our products truly global. Flight1 is the premiere distributor of flight sim products and its attention to detail and quality of customer care over many years has persuaded us that our association will benefit not only RealAir, but our customers too."

The first release, the RealAir SF260 is out now in a combined Flight Simulator 2004/X boxed edition and the Flight Simulator X version for direct download direct from www.flight1.com.

This will be followed by the all-new FSX edition of the American Champion Series, with the Scout, Citabria and Decathlon aircraft combined in one package in box or download editions.
