BRUSSELS - Today the management of CityBird Virtual Airlines announced the activation of the new website, which can be found at www.citybirdva.com. With this small investment, the management has fulfilled a first step of the "Final Approach" plan.
Our services.
We organise on regular times real-life events. The last event we have organised was a visit to Amsterdam Schiphol (EHAM). Our visitors were internationally composed.
Also online-events are a regular occupancy in our airline. We fly on the VATSIM and the IVAO network.
Not only events, but training is also a part of our core business. In our airline, a spirit of professionalism rules. Therefore we are extending our training facilities. In fact, we are starting up a complete flight academy with basic courses, advanced courses and type-ratings. At this moment, training is provided only for our pilot-members. Training includes type-rating and operational procedures. We have integrated an examination system which allows you to get a higher ranking. There are 3 levels in our airline: B, A and type-rating.
A service, which didn't existed in the old-CityBird VA, is the Flight Operations service. This service provides a complete briefing for our members: technical, world-wide weather (METAR, TAF, significant weather charts, upper winds/temperature), NOTAM and flight planning. Company routes are stored in a database, which is accessible for pilot-members.
Our service for which all the other services were developed is, of course, flying. Pilot-members can fly accordingly to our timetable or fly some non-scheduled (or chartered) flights. So, if you don't find a nice flight in the timetable, you are free to pick a destination on your own!
To manage all these services, we are using an automatic administration system. The system is not yet adapted to our new website, but it remains functional until we have developed a new automatic administration system.
