FS Dreamscapes has been hard at work completing a new online store to better serve the terrain and photoscenery needs of the Flight Simulator community. At the same time two Mesh+ Products are almost ready to ship and a new Photoscenery package for Utah is set for release soon...
Developed by Dean Mountford, the "FS Dreamscapes: 1m Vista+" is a new series of Photoscenery products aimed at coverage of the United States in full photoscenery. Current photoscenery products only offer limited coverage areas of up to 10,000 square miles. The FS Dreamscapes Photoscenery line will cover each State of the USA in full 1m imagery. The first project underway is Utah and pre-orders are being accepted.
"FS Dreamscapes: Arizona & Texas 10m Mesh+ Terrain" products add three times the resolution of the default mesh terrain, allowing simmers to fly through narrow canyons and valleys, exploring places never before seen in lower resolution mesh. Pilots are able to test their skills and aerobatic prowess zooming through tight twisting terrain while experiencing smooth ground runs during bush flying due to 10cm vertical resolution on the terrain compared to the usual 1m in other terrain products.
"FS Dreamscapes," which officially launched their first product for Utah in September 2007, had started research and development into the new FSX terrain mesh format in the 3rd quarter of 2006. The aim was to create the highest quality mesh terrain available and build towards even higher resolution terrain in coming years.
"FS Dreamscapes: Arizona 10m Mesh+ Terrain" and "FS Dreamscapes: Texas 10m Mesh+ Terrain" are due out in time for Christmas. They are available for a special pre-order price of $5.95 and are for "Microsoft Flight Simulator X".
