    I am pleased to announce the release of FlightGear v1.0.  FlightGear is a free, open-source, flight simulator that runs on just about every major platform. The source code is licensed under the GPL.



    FlightGear is available for free download from:

    http://flyawaysimulation.com/article853.html

    Ready to run versions of FlightGear are available for Windows and MacOS. Packages for other platforms should be arriving in the upcoming days.

    Please take a look at our web page to get an idea of the new features and aircraft that are available with this release.
