easyJet has announced that it will launch a new service from the London Gatwick Airport to Istanbul, Turkey, effective December 12, 2008, with fares from GBP35.99 one-way including tax.
The airline said that the new route to Istanbul brings the total number of routes from Gatwick to 51 in winter 2008, and the airline expects over 100,000 passengers to travel on the new service in the first 12 months.
David Osborne, UK general manager at easyJet, said: "easyJet has seen a huge increase in flights to ski and sun destinations this year, reinforcing easyJet's position as the favorite airline for independent travelers, providing convenient low-cost flights from your local airport."
