Flight One And DreamFleet Announce 737 Plans

Posted on Friday, August 15 @ 23:07:13 BST by darklord

Other flight sim related news Flight One Software and DreamFleet have now announced their plans to upgrade their popular Boeing 737 add-on for FS2004. It's been decided that this will take a complete rewrite and so release is not expected until spring. For full details, click on Read More.

Flight One Software and DreamFleet are pleased to announce the plans for their 737 product in FS2004. This product is currently available for FS2000 / FS2002 under the "Greatest Airliners" name.

Greatest Airliners has been one of the most popular Flight Simulator add-ons since its initial release for FS2000. Flight One Software and DreamFleet plan on carrying this product line long into the future. Unfortunately, the current version, based on a core code base built around FS2000, will not be able to be upgraded or supported for FS2004.

The current plans are for a full re-coding of the product, all to FS2004 specifications, thus creating an all-new product. Plans have also been made to expand the product line to offer 2 versions: The Classic 737-400 and the older 737-200 model, created in the concept of the "Iron Knuckles" theme.

Due sometime during spring 2004, the new product lines are destined to provide the ultimate 737 experience in FS2004. Flight One has brought Terry Gaff on board to provide all-new Gmax models of both the 200 and 400 models, with the highest detail and authenticity, featuring dynamic virtual cockpits.

DreamFleet will be in full force to bring you the best panel systems possible, and Flight One will be providing other aircraft systems and utilities.

Flight One and DreamFleet understand the desire for an upgrade of the current version. However, in order to bring this product up to the new and current standards of FS2004 it was realized that an all new effort is needed, one requiring thousands of total man-hours to complete. Therefore, these products will be handled as new release titles.

No pricing will be announced until the products get closer to completion, however, customers can rest assured that the pricing will represent a great value to the customer. So please tuned to www.flight1.com or www.dreamfleet2000.com for further details and previews.
