The great supersonic jet that we all know and love called the Concorde has served its time in the real world of aviation but is sure to keep right on flying into the future as far as virtual aviation is concerned. We at MoTIS want to try our design hand at carving out a piece of history by designing a replacement to the Concorde or what could be the next step in a concept commercial supersonic transport aircraft!
We are asking the whole concept and designing community in general to join in on what is sure to be just great fun! Our hope is that we can have the talent from many great groups contribute to this great project. We are calling the new joint built supersonic transport the SUN RUNNER. We will have one group design the wings and another the panel and so on. One group will do the virtual cockpit and another the landing gear system. This is sure to be great fun as this is not a contest of any kind but a challenge for us to design one of the greatest supersonic aircraft that the virtual community can.
When we are done designing and assembling this aircraft we will hold a huge press release and give it to virtual airlines so that their painters can paint it in any way that they wish!
