Flight Simulator X Prepar3D v4, v5, v6

A complete add-on pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and all versions of Prepar3D featuring the ATR 72-200, ATR 72-210, ATR 72-210-F, ATR 72-500, and the ATR 72-600 aircraft. The pack also includes over 37 liveries/repaints based on the real-world airlines for the models included.

ATR 72-500 Avianca in P3Dv5.The original pack and model was developed by the team at Virtualcol and has been given permission to be released on the library here at Fly Away Simulation. This add-on was originally payware and has now been released as freeware and donated to the FS community due to new versions released by Virtualcol.

The model is frame-rate friendly (a selling point of all Virtualcol products) and is compatible with all versions of FSX (including the Steam Edition) and all versions of Prepar3D (including v4 and the latest v5).

The video we show above was created in both P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 to show both simulators.

The ATR 72 series is one of the most well-know aircraft in the regional aviation industry. Originally released in 1988 and used until the present day, it's a workhorse of regional aviation globally. Powered by two turboprop engines, it is also a very powerful aircraft with a short take-off and landing configuration.

This model features a fully working 3D VC (virtual cockpit) along with a detailed pilot's manual and operating procedures. Also included is a paint-kit so you may develop your own repaints/liveries for the models.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Easy on frames, and yes it works in P3D v4.5 also. Lacks on the VC but is fully functional. I paid 44 bucks 3 years ago for this, now it's Free. LOL. Figures. Good all-around aircraft for those who can't afford the Top "Name" brand that half the time doesn't work now on their installers, shame on them. You won't be disappointed on this aircraft, I recommend you remark out half the paints, or you will be waiting extra seconds for boot time on your Sim. Entirely too many paints for sure. It flys nice and is fun to use.

    I downloaded the ATR 72. The VC and VC gauges are inoperational; the screens are blank. Nothing is there in the cockpit.

    I have FSX SE. Please, how to fix this?

    The planes are great with awesome textures and a great cockpit, but where is the Nav source switch (NAV/GPS switch)?

    I'm looking for a Lockheed L188 Electra aircraft that could be run (flown) on an X-Plane Flight Simulator. Is anyone familiar with this aircraft as a flight simulator (or a Lockheed P6 Orion) aircraft?

    I thought this was their payware package but it's not (because I own it) this does not have all the features of the payware versions, mainly the much better quality autopilot. Lastly, even as low priced as the payware is, the cockpit and gauges are FS2004 quality at best. The 2D panel set is laughable. It's so bad. The 3D is hardly much better. If they just spent a little more time in development and attention to detail it would be ok. It just feels really "slapped together" without any attention to detail.

    This developer really REALLY needs to step up their game. I would never buy from them again, and even the freeware is barely worth it. And it's free! I don't know if they do all the included liveries but if so... it's clear they care more about that than the actual cockpit quality which is where you really need the effort. 4 good liveries per series would be enough. 40 is just ridiculous. I placed most in a folder and re-edited the aircraft.cfg

    HI,

    The plane is great but I had ground vehicles/service and cargo front door opened from time to time. It opens when the plane is parked for a longer time and also happened twice during the landing. Did I read the manual that came with installment and found no command for this? I also tried to start the plane and trip but the cargo door and ground service stayed attached to the airplane.

    Is there any command to turn this option on/off?

    See if the brake is on for HOTEL mode. Not sure if this will fix the problem but you never know. Sounds like you can't even get the power plant to light off.
