Welcome to MCAS Cherry Point. Stationed here at the largest Marine Corps Air Station is five combat ready aviation wings and over 50 combat aviation squadrons. With a carrier fleet nearby, four major command centers, and three security checkpoints it is a powerhouse of the United States military.With three major security checkpoints, a main entrance for the base, a carrier fleet, several F/A-18C's and even Air Force aircraft that have been temporarily stationed there it has been chosen by the Allied Combat Coalition for training and is also given the FS Discover podcast Best Scenery award for FSX.
It does not disrupt your frame rates and also has three SH-60 Squadrons and one UH-60 Squadron stationed there. It has a VIP terminal and a Infantry Battalion Headquarters. For those of us who like larger aircraft the runways have been extended and modified for larger aircraft to land with ease. For people who prefer ground vehicles the scenery also has a large security vehicles station and an Armored Battalion Headquarters. And for all of our helo lovers it features a combat operations helipad, a Search and Rescue helipad, and a security helipad at the base's main entrance.
If what you've read so far doesn't interest you then how about this: the scenery also has a working bombing range with exploding vehicles set up nearby the carrier fleet. This scenery is for Microsoft Flight Simulator X with Acceleration and has yet to be tested on FSX with SP1 or no service packs.
