IVAO in co-operation with its partner, Aerosoft, is pleased to announce the "French Polynesia Welcome to Paradise" Event on Friday, March 13, 2009. With the recent release of Tahiti X Scenery by Aerosoft, the French Polynesian Islands come to life with stunning visuals of the fourteen island archipelago and nine airports in the region with details that only a high-quality add-on like those from Aerosoft can provide.
While use of the scenery is not compulsary for the events, pilots using Microsoft Flight Simulator X will get a sense of immersion and reality while flying around this tropical paradise with full bilingual ATC coverage along the way provided by our own French Polynesian division. Of course, with a scenery package like this, VFR island hopping is strongly encouraged to take in the full effect of this event, however, Faa'a International (ICAO: NTAA) will also be staffed for pilots wishing to try their hands flying the heavy metal on a trans-pacific flight.
We welcome all pilots of any flight simulation platform to join us in paradise on March 13, 2009 at 1900Z for what promises to be a truly breathtaking adventure.
