The CityBird Flight Academy is searching for people who are willing to help the academy in their spare time. At this moment the Academy is not yet active, but we already have huge loads of work. If you are willing to help us, the Academy can open more quickly and we can start serving the flightsim community much faster.
Our mission
The mission of the Academy is providing an integrated FS-ATPL course. The course is divided in different chapters and each chapter is divided in some number of lessons. At the moment we have planned 70 lessons.
There is no previous aviation experience or knowledge required. Each student need to possess at least one legal copy of MS Flight simulator or any other simulator. Although we only use MS Flight simulator therefore support for other flight simulators is not provided at this time.
At the end of the FS-ATPL (Flight Simulator Air Transport Pilot License) the student knows in depth: navigation, law, operations, systems, aerodynamics, communication and human performance. When a chapter was completed, the student has to take a test. If he scored more then 75%, he passed and can go on with the next chapter. If he failed the test, he has to learn the whole chapter again.
When all chapters are done it's the General Final Examination's turn. The student needs to score 75% on a series of questions. When he passed the GFE, he is allowed into the Type Rating Class. If not, he gets a retake, if he fails again; he has to retake all the chapters again.
The TRC (Type Rating Class) consists of all sorts of type-ratings. In the first stage we offer the Boeing 737 (Classics and NG's). In future stages we will try to expand to Boeing 747, Boeing 767, Airbus 319/320/321.
This type rating includes procedures, systems and flying technique. Tests and a GFE are also include in the type rating module.

Description: The assistant manager will become responsible for regulations, course coordination and will assist the general manager and the chief instructor.
Qualification:
- Age at or above 18 years.
- Able to read and write English

- Have real-life experience as pilot or air traffic controller (proven by a pilot license or other official document) or have much experience (at least 3 years) in flight simulation
- Willing to spend some free time (+/- 5 hours a week)
- Willing to share your knowledge with our students

Instructor FS-ATPL
Description: As instructor FS-ATPL you will help to write the course materials, find information sources and assist in composing the Examination Question Database. As Instructor you have also direct contact with the students and you will help them and give them support during their course.

- Have real-life experience as pilot or air traffic controller (proven by a pilot license or other official document) or have much experience (at least 3 years) in flight simulation
- Possess or be able to consult real-life aviation courses in order to check our information is correct.
- Willing to spend some free time (+/- 5 hours a week)
- Willing to share your knowledge with our students

Hiring procedure
When you have filled your candidature, you will be invited (if you have proved in your e-mail you have the right qualifications) to make an on-line interview with the general manager and/or the chief instructor. They will test your motivation and skills.
When all candidates are interviewed, the Management Committee will meet and elect the most skilled candidates. They will be notified by e-mail and get their job assignments.
