Now available from Flight Deck Software is FDSConnection, a utility for FS2004 that makes flightsim internal variables available to other programs. Additional utilities FDSWideConnection and FDSScanFS are also now available. An FS2002 compatible version is also planned. For more information, click on Read More.
Flight Deck Software is proud to announce that FDSConnection v1.0 has been released today.
FDSConnection is a FSUIPC-like interface towards FS2004/2002. Much like FSUIPC, FDSConnection makes FS2004/2002 look like FS98. FS2004/2002 variables can be found at the same offsets they were in FS98 and currently are in FSUIPC.
Together with it we also released FDSWideConnection, for TCP/IP network access towards FDSConnection, and FDSScanFS, a tool to scan the FS2002/2004 memory.
FDSConnection is and will remain freeware. For (freeware) developers who are, like us, very unpleased with the fact that FSUIPC/WideFS is now payware, switching to FDSConnection is just a matter replacing a few function calls.
This first official release of FDSConnection is FS2004-only but as there are still numerous people flying FS2002, we will work hard to get a FS2002 version ready within a few weeks.
FDSConnection, FDSWideConnection, FDSScanFS and the SDKs can be downloaded from our website:
