    CharityFlight 2003 Announced

Posted on Thursday, October 23 @ 23:57:45 BST by darklord

Other flight sim related news CharityFlight 2003 will take off on a virtual round the world trip on November 5th to raise funds for the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and B.C. Children's Hospital. An open house will be held on Saturday of the event. For more information, click on Read More.

On November 5th you are invited to join the CharityFlight team to help raise funds for Toronto Hospital for Sick Children (and B.C. Children's Hospital).

The event will take place at The Carlingview Airport Inn, with 48 hours of NON-STOP virtual flying (and some other fun as well). Pilots will be navigating around the world in the PIC767, touching down at over 25 different locations. Last year the group stopped in 26 cities: Halifax, St. John's, Manchester, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Venice, Athens, Cairo, Riyadh, Dubai, Islamabad, New Delhi, Columbo, Katmandu, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Osaka, Tokyo, Anchorage, Vancouver, Calgary, Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto. During last year's event many pilots flew remotely NON-STOP (with some short naps in between) for more then 33 hours. CharityFlight raised $1800.00.

This year the group of pilots are off to more exotic locations, and even MORE SLEEPLESSNESS. They will depart from Vancouver, CYVR, at 1 minute after midnight on the 6th of November. You can view the 2003 route here:

Carlingview Airport Inn (Flight Crew Lounge)
    221 Carlingview Drive
    Toronto, Ontario M9W 5E8

    2. During the event (November 6 to 9) you can monitor their progress via the webpages, ServInfo or jump in a plane and join them on a leg or two.
    3. Hug your children!
