    Lago Announces The Crossings

Posted on Thursday, October 23 @ 23:59:11 BST by darklord

Flight Simulator 2004 Coming tomorrow from Lago is the next in their "A Century of Aviation" series. The Crossings feature four vintage Italian aircraft most of which were actively involved in long distance ocean crossings back in the gold age of aviation. For details, click on Read More.

The Crossings add-on will be available as from tomorrow!

This add-on is the next in our "A Century of Aviation" series, which features four vintage Italian aircraft that made history during the heyday of long distance intercontinental flights. These aircraft have never been reproduced in FS in such great detail. Liveries, panels, sounds and flight dynamics are absolutely stunning and allow you to experience what these pilots dared to achieve!

Featuring the SIAI S16ter, S55x, S79 and the FIAT CR32, and the respective flight plans in the manual, makes this one of the most complete add-ons to have been released for FS2004. The S16ter, flown by Francesco De Pinedo, became famous for being the first airplane to reach Australia all the way from Europe, quite a track for 1925. The S55x seaplane is an adapted version of the S55, customized to cross the Atlantic Ocean. In 1933 Italo Balbo (Minister for Aviation) left Italy with 22 S55x, flying in formation heading for Chicago, where they were greeted as heroes after their spectacular landing in Lake Michigan. The S79 was used to race in various rallies that took the "Sorci Verdi" racing team to victory on many occasions, the most famous being Rome - Dakar - Rio De Janeiro. The fourth aircraft is the FIAT C32, a small biplane that didn't take part in any crossing, but was used by the Italian Airforce acrobatic team travelling around the world showing off their skills to the bewildered public.

This exclusive add-on can be yours for 24.99 Euro (approx. 26 USD). Check out the following links to know more about it: The Crossings:
