The Atrium, Dublin Airport, 11th November 2003
The Second Annual UK and Ireland Flight Simulator Show is fast approaching and now is the time to book your travel to one of Europe’s best Flight Simulation event!
The 2nd Annual UK and Ireland Flight Simulator Show will be held on Saturday 21st February 2004 at the Great Southern Hotel, which is literally a stones throw from Dublin International Airport.
Entry, as always, will be free and this year’s show is themed on Home Cockpits and Flight Sim Hardware. We are currently confirming attendance from companies dotted across Europe and the USA.
Travel to the airport from Europe can be cheap and easy with airlines such as Ryanair and Aer Lingus operating routes into Dublin, indeed there are numerous UK low cost airlines that also fly the route from just about anywhere in the UK to Dublin. Once at Dublin Airport there is a free courtesy bus to and from the airport for anyone attending the event. We can also help you organise cheap hotel accommodation at the venue or at the Holiday Inn which is quite literally across the road.
The show will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm. This means there is lots of time for people who are travelling to the show to sample the delights Dublin has to offer and its most well known export, Guinness!
The show is a must for anyone who is interested in the hardware side of FS and you will be able to fly an Airbus A320 cockpit built using Flight Deck Solutions Panels and running Project Magenta software. There will be numerous other “custom” cockpits there including the famous Michael Collins, of PC Pilots Ireland, cockpit which was built in just 6 days!
If you would like to do some aircraft spotting, Dublin has a very varied selection of airline and aircraft they fly in and also offers one of the best viewing locations which puts you a few hundred metres from the threshold and no fences obstructing your view!
It truly promises to be a great weekend for anyone visiting the show and Dublin is Europe’s favourite weekend break destination!
