EMAtch Simulations is delighted to announce the release of their latest product, Niederrhein (Dusseldorf) 2004 from FS2004 and FS2002.
Since 1999 RAF Laarbruch in Germany has lay dormant. After 45 years of military service, the last British Harrier Jump Jet left the airfield. For the next four years the airport would play host to nothing more than the odd light aircraft and occasional cycling party!
But in May 2003 the airport re-opened as Europe's newest commercial airport, welcoming Ryanair. The airport quickly flourished as the new low cost airport for Dusseldorf and was officially assigned to the city in October 2003 with the arrival of V-Bird, a new low cost airline based at the airport.
The airport boasts a brand new state of the art passenger terminal on the southern side of the airfield. The military buildings remain as a reminder of the past, but now the low cost airlines have taken centre stage at Europe's newest airport, Niederrhein Dusseldorf.
EMAtch Simulations has recreated this airport in stunning detail, successfully capturing the atmosphere of this fascinating airport whilst all being modelled in Gmax. Niederrhein 2004 is available now for just £12.99 from EMAtch Direct.
