Presenting for FS2004, Custom Classics VII, the Classic 1954 Piper Apache PA-23 Collection, a tribute to aviation in American agriculture! This rugged easy to fly twin survives even today and has been used over the years to train many pilots in multi engined aircraft. Our model captures the spirit of this classic aircraft as it made its appearance in the 1950s!
To honor the tradition of small farm strips scattered throughout our country we present your own personalized dairy farm set in 1950s Minnesota. There is a sloping dirt strip complete with mud puddle so you can splash water on your take offs, if like most of us you're still a kid at heart ;o) The winters in Minnesota are not for the faint of heart and the included flights will give you a chance to experience them first hand!
The scenery setting is close to Lake Superior where your float version of the Apache is based. You can brave the cold November winds to rescue a stranded ferry or take a leisurely flight around the lake to see the fall colors!
These aircraft and sceneries have been created with exacting care to give you the feeling of really being there!! The aircraft feature reflective textures, independent suspension, fully functional dynamic virtual cockpit, realistic engine sounds, 2D panels, custom gauges and many other unique and revolutionary touches. They have been carefully constructed and textured to obtain the best frame rate possible while still looking good!
