FSX Grumman F7F Update

Grumman F7F-3 Tigercat gets a refreshed cockpit experience with added radar and radio control icons, plus a P-38 Lightning-style panel tailored for the aircraft’s layout and animated yoke controls. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and also compatible with FS2004, it includes bundled gauges for flexible placement while retaining a clean, period-inspired look.

Grumman F7F update. This is the FSX Grumman F7F3 from Mark Rooks (panel from David C. Copley and Mel Mutter) f-7tigercatvmp-254.zip with added icons and gauges (radar and radio controls); they don't work on this version. By JF Tomas.

Panel is for any P-38 Lightning by David C. Copley.
Build for FSX but should work in FS9.

Panel can be used in other P-38 planes but VC will not work.

It has animated Yoke flight controls in 2D panel it was base on a photo of a real panel and is as close to the real thing as I could make it.

Just back up org panel and copy this panel to your plane all gauges are in panel folder, and can be left here or moved to FSX gauge folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme
