Orcas Island by Georender Coming This Weekend

Get your plane ready and fueled up, because Richard Goldstein’s new title ‘Orcas Island by Georender’ is going to hit the shelves this weekend if all goes well. The new title is now fully tested and documented; only packaging tests are still on-going. Planned release is Saturday February 21st, and so far things are looking good to achieve that date. Orcas Island will be the first in a new series of wonderful nature areas, including very detailed small airports and many other features. It will also be the first of such titles published by the new FS publishing company FSAddon.com.

Orcas Island can be found on the northern coast of Washington State, just south of the Canadian border and near Vancouver. It features a number of islands, Orcas I (KORS) airfield and a few strips and float plane bases. And of course it features the now famous Georender texturing techniques providing such a lifelike atmosphere to all seasons. It also has GeoMotion objects, which we think is a first in FS history. During testing we have just sat on the airfield for hours, enjoying the life around us!

Orcas Island will be a download-only title for now, and will be marketed via simMarket. We will publish more news as soon as it becomes available. Meanwhile we invite you to have a look at some of the latest screenshots on the FSAddon site, just click here: http://www.fsaddon.com/products_preview.html

FSAddon.com or Fsaddon for short, is a subsidiary of simMarket and founded by Francois Dumas and Miguel Blaufuks, both veterans in the flight simulator industry. The company will be publishing high quality products only, made by independent authors using one brand name. FSAddon will be providing marketing clout, quality control, commercial services and creative support to those authors and being part of the worldwide simFlight Network guarantees close contact to customers, as well as to all other parts of the flightsim industry in a two-way fashion.

SimMarket.com is one of the largest international Flight Simulator add-on shops on the internet world wide. Over the past 7 years simMarket has expanded its range of products to over 400 titles and is still growing rapidly. It also owns the The simFlight Network, a news and support chain of websites geared at providing services to all flight simulator enthusiasts all over the world in several languages, making it the biggest multinational FS news network world wide. The main simFlight Network site can be found at www.simflight.com/news5 and the forums can be found at http://forums.simflight.com.
