This week we released USA Extreme Landscapes for both FS2004 and FS2002.
Based on Flight Simulator's adaptable elevated mesh terrain architecture, we've used the exacting technology of Justin Tyme & FS Genesis to boost the detail 15-fold. By replacing the default elevation data with super refined 38 and 78 meter info, we're able to deliver an incredible scenic accuracy to Flight Simulator.
To view these new landscapes, users can choose any of the included pre-planned flights including a re-creation of aviator writer Doug Horton's real-life flight from Chicago to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Users will pilot the superb Piper Dakota from the talented designers at Carenado to enjoy the lay of the terrain up close.
USA Extreme Landscapes is available as a 3 CD-ROM boxed set. Users can selectively install the Appalachians, Great Plains, Southeast, Rockies and West Coast geographic areas. A full installation requires about 2.3 GB with minimal frame rate overhead. Suggested retail price is $29.95.
