Sydney Harbor's Rose Bay is well known as the departure point for Qantas Empire Airways back in the thirties. Today the big Shorts Flying Boats are long gone although Rose Bay is still used by float plane operators for scenic flights around Sydney Harbor and for sight seeing trips to Sydney's Central Coast area. This scenery features four of these float plane bases all within thirty minutes flying time. The bases are Rose Bay, Gosford, Long Jetty and Berowra Waters, a popular waterside restaurant. AI float plane traffic is a feature of the all sceneries which includes an operations guide for pilots not familiar with the area.
In addition a fictitious sea base has been included at Aeropelican. This small airport is a default FS2004 airfield some thirty minutes flying time from Sydney. A terminal area is added as are other feature of the airport. The scenery for Aeropelican is available in a separate download.
FS2004 has done quite a good job with the Sydney, Australia area but as always things can be improved. A further add-on scenery is available which greatly enhances Sydney Harbor and adds many well known landmarks to the area.
All the above sceneries are freeware by Clive Marriott.
