SkyDecks Panel Design Releases 737 NG Panel

Posted on Saturday, March 27 @ 12:53:38 GMT by darklord

Other flight sim related news Now available from SkyDecks Panel Design and developer Kevin Sparkuhl is the Boeing 737 NG Panel Project, offering a modern glass cockpit for the B737 jetliner. SkyDecks panels are designed to be replacements for the out of the box default panels. For more details, click on Read More.

SkyDecks Panel Design is very pleased to announce the opening of our brand new website and the release of our Boeing 737-Ng Panel Project, version 2.2. Formerly Precision Panels, SkyDecks Panel Design has opened a much more dynamic website than before and is poised to bring to the community several new projects in the coming months ahead. You may visit our new website at http://www.sky-decks.com

The new self-installing version 2.2 release of the Boeing 737-NG panel is a rework of our version 2.1 and includes several new improvements, including:

    • An all new throttle-stack that features an integrated stabilizer trim indication gauge.
    • A new radio stack with digital readouts that are color matched to the autopilot windows.
    • A three-way panel lighting switch allowing you to turn on the fluorescent panel lights.
    • A pitot-heat switch that eliminates the airspeed indicator “freeze-up” in colder weather.
    • Fuel display switch that now reads in “pounds per hour” instead of “gallons per hour”.
    • Vertical speed wheel now rotates in the proper direction listed on the panel.
    • Six all new interior cockpit directional views, with six new alternate passenger wing views.
    • Correct wind directional arrow and readings that match the default Microsoft settings.
    • New ambient air temperature reading in Celsius, displayed in the lower left of the MFD.

    Additional features are:

    • Carefully detailed 3-D bitmaps and positioning of pop-up windows.
    • Page views for both the MFD and EICAS.
    • Fuel weight gauges that also display visual levels as well as numerical levels.
    • HUD integrated into the main panel view, patterned after the real thing.
    • All gauges carefully illuminated with "back-lit" text for easier night-time viewing.
    • An autopilot panel with digital readout windows and disengage bar.
    • An overhead panel with added switches including a correct Yaw Dampener.

    ...and much more!

SkyDecks panels are designed to be as replacements for the "out of the box" default panels included within the Microsoft Flight Simulator series. They are designed to be visually realistic and yet easy to fly, without the need for large instruction manuals to be able to use them.

Previous customers of Precision Panels should follow the lower-right link on our home-page for important information about updating their previous purchase.

Once again, we are pleased to bring you this new update and website. Check out all the images available there of the new work. FS2002 users will be happy to know that we will be releasing the FS8 version of the Boeing 737-NG panel very shortly.

     Sincerely,
    Kevin Sparkuhl
