The Argonaut and the North Star were Merlin-engined version of the Douglas DC-4. A total of 71 were produced by Canadair. In Canada it was called the North Star and was used by airlines and the RCAF. 22 Argonauts were delivered to BOAC 1949-1950, and they later had long careers with other operators like British Midland and charter companies. This package contains most versions.

First introduced in 1974, the AA-5 series were unique in their bonded honeycomb airframes, producing a simple, smooth, and strong structure. With a sliding canopy and quick controls, the AA-5 were a breed apart. The later AA-5B series had more powerful engines, giving a needed boost in performance. This SF9/FSX model is painted in a real world paint scheme, and has full ani's and VC with some custom gauges. Includes extra FSX files to ease porting over to FSX. Will work without my earier AA-5B Tiger release. Tim Piglet Conrad.

The Taylor J-2 Cub was the predecessor of the famous Piper J-3 Cub. It was equipped with a 37hp Continental A-40 engine. I made this plane by using the default Piper Cub, changing the texture (i saw this neonyellow texture on a real Cub once) and changing the engine/weight/fuel attributes. The plane is slower than the Piper Cub and should be a challenge to fly in bad weather (just like the default Cub). I also changed the pilots face a bit (younger), gave it a correctly coloured 2D panel and as the plane has less power than the cub i made it a tiny bit less agile. Beware, the plane is nose-heavy, you have to trim it accordingly. Oh and i gave the window reflections in the 3D cockpit the right colour, too. By Aralez Esposito 2006 based on the default Piper J-3 Cub.

This is an update of the Cessna 185 VH_DGL by JRLucariny. I have updated the panel so it works in FSX. This aircraft flys OK but is missing the glass in FSX as far as I can tell. I am uploading it mainly because of the panel which I almost had done before I noticed about the glass. Bob Chicilo.

After publishing my FSX AI Carrier package, I had several people contact me about cable trapping. Well obviously at the time of writing we can't do that. We need Pete Dowson to make us a new FSX FSUIPC for a start and then we need guys who are cleverer than me to work out how to use the data generated to create traps and catapults. But there is an alternative which is both challenging and good fun at the same time. As you know, the FSX carrier is on the small side and although anyone can land planes like the FSX Trike and the FS2004 Cub on it pretty easily, anything much bigger is not really on. So what I've done is modify the FS2004 Cessna Grand Caravan a wee bit. I've given it bigger flaps which obviously have quite a bit more drag. I've also beefed the brakes up a bit and given you a wee bit more reverse thrust. This baby you can land on the FSX carrier ........ if you're good enough! Based on the FS2004 C208 & compiled by Roger 'RollerBall' Mole.
