This is the No-CD patch or 'crack' for Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific. When applied, there is no need to insert your CD when attempting to play the software. Simply Replace the original SH4.EXE file with the one from the File Archive and play away - follow the instructions in the file if in doubt!
