This is the complete pack (all 34 parts/packs) of the fun-packed Weltspirale around-the-world mission and adventure series for FSX by Manfred Schnabl.

Weltspirale is a German word and translates as "world spiral" because the missions included in this pack take you on an adventure around the whole world in a "spiral" flight plan.

There are over 200 individual flights and flight plans included - each has its own mission and objective.

An overview of all of the flights and missions included shown on a world map.

Included Packs

The series includes 34 packs or "parts". Each is detailed below.

Package including ten flights. An adventure which starts in Alert (Canada) and goes ten to eleven times around the world to the South. In one package there are the flights for one week.

Pack 1

The first 10 flights lead us nearly around the whole earth, which has a circumference of 6000 miles there.

The first flight starts in Alert in Canada, the most northern airport in FSX. The travel goes over Spitsbergen to Russia along the Arctic Ocean. We reach the American continent in the north of Bering Street, where the first 10 legs end in Cambridge Bay.

I hope you can bear the long flights, especially the second, take care of not-iced wings and pitot-tube and enjoy the aurora borealis, the moonrises, and sunsets, especially at the last flight.

At all 11:48 hours and 5179 miles are done.

Pack 2

Staring in Cambridge Bay the legs go over Canada, Greenland, Faroe Islands, and Norway to Sweden. Some runways are very short for the heavy aircraft! A special challenge is the sky-car.

Enjoy the beautiful fjords and mountains in Norway. You need about 8 hours for the 3129 miles of the second package. 19:50 hours at all for 8398 miles.

Pack 3

Starting in Sweden we reach Finland. In St. Petersburg we cross the border to large Russia. Most legs are quite short. The first Airbus comes to the adventure.

The last leg has a length of 1578 miles, but with the F-107 Ultra Sabre, we need about one hour. Do you find the runway in the dense fog in flight number 9? You need 6 and a half hour for the 3205 miles of the third package 1 day 2:19 hours at all for 11830 miles.

Pack 4

The 4th starts in Siberia. Over Kamchatka, we reach the Aleutian Islands, which already belong to Alaska. Flying over the Rocky Mountains we finally reach the Canadian town Saskatoon, where the 4th package ends.

In long legs, we get over the Siberian plain and the northern Pacific – no problem with the Republic F-105. Interesting starts and landings with water planes, a low flight in a propeller aircraft over the Rock Mountains and the short runway for the A380 bears some challenges.

For the 4583 miles of the 4th Packages are approximately 9.5 hours required. The total flight time of 16396 miles is 1 day 11:44 hours.

Pack 5

In Saskatoon (Canada) the 5th package starts. We need 8 flights for the crossing of Canada. Over the Atlantic we finally reach France. The first flight is quite violently, but the Cessna is proving to be weatherproof.

Now the time begins for two Airbus aircraft. With propeller aircraft, we explore the shores and islands of the St. Lawrence-river. The longest flight so far - across the Atlantic - we will quickly complete by the proven XB-70 (Attention: Stay under Mach 2 otherwise you will not have enough fuel). For the 4045 miles of the 5th Packages are approximately 9.25 hours required. The total flight time of 20,441 miles is 1 day 20:56 hours.

Pack 6

In the 6th, we are in Central Europe. We cross France, Switzerland, Austria, and Hungary. In Bacau, in Romania, the 6th Package ends. Beautiful weather and thunderstorm accompany our flights.

The small Fairchild has to go in great heights and finally in a steep flight to land in Mollis. Enjoy the short flight over the Alps! An interesting landing on a long grass runway is waiting for us in Hungary.

For the 1233 miles of the 6th Packages are approximately 6.5 hours required. The total flight time of 21,674 miles is 2 days 3:23 hours.

Pack 7

The 7th leads us from Romania in Europe over Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and China to Japan. The sometimes quite long flights are equipped with the supersonic aircraft, not a too-long problem, even if the flights in high altitudes are sometimes a bit shaky.

The runway at the last flight is very short! For the 4908 miles of the 7th Packages are about 9.5 hours. The total flight time for the 26582 miles is 2 days 12:56 hours.

Pack 8

The 8th takes us from Japan across the Pacific to America and ends in the Rocky Mountains. After a few short flights - again using the Skycar - in Japan follows a very, very long Pacific crossing - in spite of supersonic almost 4 hours.

The Pacific is very large! In the United States, you can try a helicopter flight. Does the landing? The landings on the airstrips are not very simple. For the 5380 miles of 8 packages are approximately 8.5 hours. The total flight time for the 31962 miles is 2 days 21:18 hours.

Pack 9

In the 9th, we cross the USA from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic coast. The flights are generally quite short and not boring, especially in the thunderstorm and in stormy weather.

Find the small airport Mountain Air in the darkness and see that you survive the launch with the Skyhawk! For the 1450 miles of the 9th Packages are approximately 6 hours. The total flight time for the 33412 miles is 3 days 3:23 hours.

Pack 10

The 10th starts with a monster flight across the Atlantic. Then we cross Africa from Morocco to Egypt. Over the Sahara, you have to come through some sand storms. The landing of the 9th leg is a difficult challenge because of strong, gusty crosswind.

Can you find the unlit runway in Tunisia? With the anniversary flight, the 100th Flight, we reach Egypt. For the 5097 miles of the 10th Packages are approximately 9 ¼ hours. The total flight time of 100 flights and 38,509 miles is 3 days 12:39 hours.

Pack 11

The 11th we start in Egypt and are flying over Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan to Pakistan. Enjoy the flight over the Suez Canal and the landing in Port Said.

The Boeing 767’s landing in the high altitude of Yasouj is quite challenging, so as the following starting with the 900th CRJ. For the 2142 miles of 11 Packages, we need approximately 6.5 hours. The total flight time for 110 flights and 40,651 miles is 3 days 19:15 hours.

Pack 12

The 12th leads us from Pakistan and India over the Himalayan mountains in Nepal to Bhutan and back to India. The difficulty level of this package is very high. First, the King Air will be shaken in a violent thunderstorm. The landings in Jumla and especially in Lukla are not for the faint-hearted.

Only with a steep nosedive and timely interception of the machine you can succeed landings. Also, the launches with the Harriers are not very easy.

In Lukla, you should ask for runway 6. Landing on 24 is extremely difficult, also runway 6 is a real challenge! Good luck! For the 1531 miles of the 12th Packages are approximately 6.5 hours. The total flight time of 120 flights and 42,182 miles is 4 days 1:45 hours.

Pack 13

The 13th starts in eastern India. Over Myanmar, China, Taiwan, Japan, and the Pacific we reach the United States in Hawaii. The flights are now a bit easier - with the exception of the launch in the 2nd flight with the 767 (I recommend runway 17!).

The F-15 needs much fuel at low-level flight. Fly slowly! Some small Japanese islands and of course Hawaii permit stopovers in the infinitely large Pacific! For the 5838 miles of the 13th Packages are approximately 8.5 hours.

The total flight time of 130 flights and 48,020 miles is 4 days 10:21 hours.

Pack 14

The 14th starts with a flight from Hawaii across the Pacific. We will remain in Mexico until the last flight, where we reach Cuba. The weather is sometimes a bit turbulent.

Try to land the 727 softly – otherwise, the gear will not stand. For the 4214 miles of the 14th Packages are approximately 7¾ hours. The total flight time for 140 flights and 52,234 miles is 4 days 18:05 hours.

Pack 15

In the 15th we are moving in the Caribbean, i.e. in Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten Island. In Cape Verde, we return to Africa.

Enjoy the flights in the Caribbean, especially the beautiful airport of St. Maarten Island. With this package, we finish the 4th round. For the 3365 miles, you need approximately 7 ¼ hours. The total flight time of 150 flights and 55,599 miles is 5 days 1:17 hours.

Pack 16

After starting in Cape Verde, we remain in the 16th Package above the Sahara in Mauritania, Mali, Niger, and Chad. As usual in the desert, the weather is very nice or windy. Can you find each runway in the desert? For the 2657 miles, you need approximately 6 ¼ hours. The total flight time for 160 flights and 58,256 miles is 5 days 7:30 hours.

Pack 17

After some flights in Africa (Chad, Sudan, and Eritrea) we reach Asia in Yemen and India after a long flight across the Indian Ocean. There are long and short flights with landings at different desert-airports. In the Hawker risk quite a look at the nice Copilot!

For the 3031 miles, we need approximately 7 hours. The total flight time for 170 flights and 61,287 miles is 5 days 14:31 hours.

Pack 18

After a few flights in India and across the Indian Ocean the journey goes to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The weather is sometimes pretty bad. For example, in the second flight, the landing runway is very hard to find in the dense fog. Cross the Indian Ocean fly slowly, otherwise, there is too few fuels.

Short runways and trees at its end are a challenge even for good pilots, but the skill and experience after more than 170 flights should already be very advanced! For the 2103 miles, we need approximately 6 ¼ hours. The total flight time for 180 flights and 63,390 miles is 5 days 20:51 hours.

Pack 19

We begin in Vietnam at 109° east, stay some time in the Philippines and cross the Pacific with stops in Guam and the Marshall Islands. In Colombia 19th Package ends at 74° west. With 10,447 miles we cover longest total distance and with 6,731 miles in the 9th leg the longest single flight.

This is forced on the enormous dimensions of the Pacific Ocean. Fly with the Stealth FA-37 in 80,000 feet altitude with a speed of about 4,6 Mach, this plane has enough fuel. For the 10,447 miles we need approximately 11.5 hours. The total flight time for 190 flights and 73,447 miles is 6 days 8:14 hours.

Pack 20

The flights of this package take place exclusively in South America, namely in Colombia, Venezuela, and Guyana. After the longest flights in the previous package, there is now the shortest in the 9th flight with a distance of 3 miles, and with 946 miles the shortest total distance.

In two flights you can prove your skill in bringing down the plane on the runway on low-lying land safely. For the 946 miles, you will need approximately 4.5 hours. The total flight time for 200 flights and 74,783 miles is 6 days 12:39 hours.

Pack 21

After two flights in South America, we continue our journey in Africa (Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Congo). The Atlantic crossing is much shorter than that of the Pacific. Unfortunately, in the equatorial regions, the weather is not always beautiful and we must expect fierce thunderstorms.

In the night flight pay attention not to miss the unlit runways. For the 4806 miles, we need approximately 8.5 hours. The total flight time for 210 flights and 79,589 miles is 6 days 21:18 hours.

Pack 22

The flights of this package take place in the tropical areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire), Uganda and Kenya along the equator. In Somalia, we finally reach the Indian Ocean.

Enjoy the flights over the tropical rainforest, a flight at sunrise and the crossing of Mount Kenya with 5099 m (17058 feet). In Somalia, we exceed the equator and reach the first airport in southerly latitude.

This means we have about half of our journey behind us. For the 1361 miles, we need approximately 4.5 hours. The total flight time for 220 flights and 80,950 miles is 7 days 1:52 hours.

Pack 23

Starting on the east coast of Africa we cross the Indian Ocean with a stopover in the Maldives. In the 8 remaining flights, we visit the Indonesian islands. They end on Sulawesi which also belongs to Indonesia.

The launch starts in Somalia at extreme side winds. Enjoy the flights in the morning or evening twilight! In this package only large and heavy jets are used, which is no problem due to the relatively long runways, except the last leg.

For the 4686 miles, we need approximately 6.5 hours. The total flight time for 230 flights and 85,636 miles is 7 days 8:30 hours.

Pack 24

We still stay for 6 flights in Indonesia, then we go to Papua New Guinea and the 24th Package ends at the Solomon Islands - ready for the new crossing of the Pacific. Did we make our flights in the previous package only with large traffic aircraft, so we limit ourselves in this package on military aircraft?

The most difficult landing is at the 9th Flight on the short grass runway. Enjoy the beautiful colors in the morning or evening twilight. For the 2378 miles, we need approximately 5 ¼ hours. The total flight time for 240 flights and 88,014 miles is 7 days 13:47 hours.

Pack 25

After crossing the Pacific with a stopover in French Polynesia we reach the American continent in Peru. This package ends in Porto Velho in the Brazilian jungle. The beautiful, snowcapped Cordillera offers a magnificent panorama of the landing in Anta.

However, the subsequent flight with the ATR over the highest mountain in Peru (Huascaran, 6,768 m or 22,204 ft) is not easy to fly!

Then we get a glimpse of the immense expanse of virgin forest in the Amazon region. For the 8027 miles, we need approximately 9 hours. The total flight time for 250 flights and 96,041 miles is 7 days 22:53 hours.

Pack 26

All the flights of the 26th take place in Brazil, starting in the humid west over the wide plains to the Atlantic coast. Except for the first flight the distances are rather short and not too difficult to fly. Enjoy the night-flight with the Sikorsky.

For the 1681 miles we need approximately 4 hours. The total flight time for 260 flights and 97,722 miles is 8 days 03:42 hours.

Pack 27

At the beginning of the 27th, we cross the Atlantic with a stopover in Ascension. Here we exceed 100,000 miles! The remaining flights will take us through the tropical regions of Angola, Zambia and Malawi, where we are already near the coast of the Indian Ocean.

Be careful with the Embraer that the speed limit is not exceeded, and at the 9th flight that the runway is not too short! For the 4270 miles, we need approximately 6 hours. The total flight time for 270 flights and 101,992 miles is 8 days 11:31 hours.

Pack 28

The flights of the 28th package will take us from the African east coast and Madagascar across the Indian Ocean to Australia. We cross the Australian desert areas and the 28th package ends in Queensland.

With the Stealth FA-37, we have the fastest plane now. With this plane, we take the 4156 miles across the Indian Ocean in just under 2 hours! For the 6030 miles, we need approximately 7 hours. The total flight time for 280 flights and 108,022 miles is 8 days 18:55 hours.

Pack 29

There are two flights missing in Australia. Then the long journey back across the Pacific begins. However, we now have a good fortune that we have many islands which allow stopovers, no flight is extremely long.

Right at the first leg, a difficult landing is expected: Where's the runway? In Niue the nice weather misleads. There is an extreme storm, the taxi to the runway is almost impossible.

Hint: Take off against the wind. For the 4699 miles, we need approximately 7 hours. The total flight time for 290 flights and 112,721 miles is 9 days 2:43 hours.

Pack 30

After two stopovers on Pacific islands, we reach the American continent for the 8th time. Passing Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil we are already almost on the Atlantic coast.

For the 4888 miles, we need approximately 7 hours. The total flight time for 300 flights and 117,309 miles is 9 days 10:29 hours.

Pack 31

This package includes two ocean crossings and belongs therefore to the longer ones. Starting in Brazil the journey goes over the Atlantic Ocean to Namibia, South Africa, and Lesotho, over the Indian Ocean and finally to Australia.

There are some tidbits including, for example, the landing in Paranagua from the perspective of the tower or the beautiful sunset seen from the parking lot in Kimberly.

For the 8716 miles, we need approximately 8 hours. The total flight time for 310 flights and 126,325 miles is 9 days 18:27 hours.

Pack 32

With this package, we cross the Australian continent. We don't have any longer land crossing until the end of the entire 'Weltspirale'-Package, only some narrow stretches of land, a few islands and the expanse of the oceans lie ahead.

Perform a landing of the 757 in a meadow! It's possible. It is noticeable that the airports in Australia have rather short landing runways, but two or three of them.

For the 1704 miles, we need approximately 5 hours. The total flight time for 320 flights and 128,029 miles is 10 days 00:03 hours.

Pack 33

Our journey starts on the east coast of Australia. The northern part of New Zealand and the Pacific crossing we pass even the South American continent, which only has a width of just over 500 miles at 38 South.

With the Baron 58, the flight over the high mountains of Chile is rather difficult. We are compensated, however, with a nice flight at dusk. For the 7161 miles, we need approximately 7 hours. The total flight time for 330 flights and 135,190 miles is 10 days 07:27 hours.

Pack 34

Although we still need about 2 turns around the earth, this is the last set of "world spiral", with a total distance of 36,329 miles! This is necessary because there are only oceans till the southernmost airport (McMurdo Station Pegasus Field). It is also sometimes necessary to leave the route immediately to the north to search an airport for refueling. Therefore we visit twice South Africa, the Tasmanian islands and New Zealand.

With the fast planes, however, these distances can be flown in a reasonable amount of time.

Don't fly too quick at the first leg (below 2 M) because of the fuel! For 36,329 miles, we need approximately 25 hours. The total flight time for 340 flights and 171,519 miles is 11 days 09:08 hours.

So the chapter "The World spiral" ends after 8 months of flights and everyone who completed these flights well done!

I'm currently on pack 3 and I find this fun. Most of the aircraft that the author recommends are fun to fly and you're able to learn about the specifics of that airplane. However, a few of the aircraft have the default fuel and payload load way over the limits of the aircraft. So, you have to check that on every flight (which you would do in a real airplane anyway).

And if I don't like a specific airplane, then I just use another one that is similar. None of this is the author's fault. Overall, a good mission that certainly takes you all over the world. Thanks!
