FSX Float Repaint Of New York Scenery

FSX Scenery--Float Repaint Of New York, a fictional float plane seaport in NY. Includes no hard surface runways, though some of the roads could be used for landings. A ramp is included for amphibs. By Bob Smith.

Directions:

From 5b2, Saratoga Co New York, fly 090 degrees to the lake. This Seaport is quite large, you can't miss it.

Seaport Description:

This is a fictitious seaport base located in New York. With no actual hard surface runways this scenery is designed for Float Planes and has a ramp to accommodate Amphibious aircraft. **HOWEVER**, some of the roads, one paved, around the hangers have been used for landing when no one was watching. You have to be careful though, the roads are short. The roads are illuminated by various means so illegal night landings are easy, as long as you can get your aircraft stopped. Bring your Tundra tires on your STOL aircraft.

Only a couple hangers are occupied so jump in and set up shop in any of the vacant hangers.

A camping area is available for overnight stays. Many of the Float Repair Seaports across the country have cabins for rent at extremely affordable rates but bring your camping gear and tents just in case. Please keep all food sealed in containers or you may attract Bears.

North of the bridge is a seaplane training area. Be aware of possible aircraft in the pattern.

This scenery was created with the included FSX Deluxe Object Placement Tool on FSX default texture, scenery and mesh so this airfield should be very frame rate friendly. No flattening or excludes were used so taxi around the scrub brush. This scenery was blended into the FSX default scenery.

It has been tested in FSX with all scenery sliders max to the right so you should have no problems with the autogen appearing through your hanger with any scenery sliders you use. Please email if there are any problems I can fix. The fuel pumps don't work yet so you have to park beside the pump and manually add your fuel. That way you have control of how much fuel you add to your aircraft.

This scenery is FSX only and it's free. If you don't like it, delete it, it's OK. :)

Installation:

Simply unzip the *.bgl file(s) into the Addon Scenery/scenery folder.

Uninstall:

Remove the file(s) from the Addon Scenery/scenery folder.

This is the 3d Seaport in the series. The first two:

Small Seaport added to the airport 2KL for those long cross-country's. No gas at the docks but they bring a fuel truck when you call.

2. - Filename - bs_lakeside_dirt_strip_231554.zip

Lake Side Dirt Strip - Newly created Seaport North West of Austin in Central Texas.
