FSX Cyril E. King Airport Scenery

FSX Scenery Cyril E. King Airport. TIST represents a modification to the default FSX scenery. The airport has been reworked per 2010 specifications including the new VOR A approach with transitions to runway 10. Other changes include new control tower, reworked GA ramp parking and aprons, new airport buildings and facilities, main terminal gates and cargo parking per specifications, reworked vehicle paths with extra fuel truck, and reworked landclass in and around the airport. TIST represents a modification to the default FSX scenery using information from airnav, virtual earth and the official Website. Some additions or modifications include:

1. New control tower and location.
2. Reworked GA Ramp parking and aprons.
3. New airport buildings, facilities and towers.
4. Revised apron pavement type at Ramps and Terminal.
5. Terminal gate numbers and cargo parking per specifications.
6. Revised runway markings and lighting specifications including blastpads and approach lighting.
7. New taxiways and paths with new signs as appropriate.
8. Reworked vehicle paths with extra fuel truck.
9. Reworked landclass in and around the airport including Jullan Jackson Dr.
10. New apron and Terminal spot lighting.
11. Added the VOR with beacon at STT.
12. New VOR A approach with transitions to Rwy 10.

Note: Airline parking sizes at the Terminal optimized per current flight information; No assigned parking.

The new VOR A approach to Rwy 10 is quite challenging. Close attention to altitudes is required. This approach is probably better suited for GA and Turbo Props.

IMPORTANT: In order to see the apron spot lighting you'll need to install the wonderful lights from Jim Dhaenens. I'm including his light files with this package.

To install Jim's lights, place the lightobj.bgl file in your -

...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\scenery folder.

and almwht.dds and lights1.dds files in -

...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Texture folder.

To install TIST I suggest creating a folder called TIST and placing the three TIST2010_KA*.bgl files in a scenery folder inside of the TIST folder. You will need to activate the TIST folder once in FSX. I suggest placing it at or near the top of the scenery priority list.

I have tested TIST using FSX sp2, and while I don't anticipate issues with using the earlier versions (RTM and SP1), I cannot guarantee that the visuals will look the same on every setup. While not needed for the scenery to work, I also tested to ensure that TIST works with Scenery Tech North America Landclass and FS Genesis Mesh.

CREDITS: TIST was created using the powerful airport design utility by Jon Masterson (ADE9X V1.47.7). The approach code was modified using official approach plates and ADE9x V1.47.7. A special thanks to Jim Vile who is a member of the ADE team and is the author of the approach code module of ADE. The approach code updates would not have been possible without Jim's KIAD approach tutorial and help.

FSX Lights by Jim Dhaenens provide an excellent set of apron lights. Special thanks to Jim for allowing the use of his lights in freeware packages.
