The Lockheed C130 Hercules is the South African Air Force long-range transport aircraft. It can carry 90 passengers, 64 fully equipped paratroopers or 74 stretchers with 2 medical attendants in the mass casualty evacuation role. The Hercules was extensively used during the Bush War in Namibia and Angola in the 1970s and 1980s and is still widely used, currently often in a more humanitarian role.This aircraft features full animation (including opening main exit and cargo ramp), full lighting effects, a sound pack as well as a detailed photo-realistic panel. A former Hercules pilot ensured that the flight dynamics of this aircraft is as realistic as possible. Two versions, painted in the 1978- and current colors of 28 Squadron of the South African Air Force are provided.
