description=N1944A / 315211/B/J8 (cn 19677) This Skytrain was delivered to USAAF as C-47A-80-DL serial 43-15211. Later sold to Norwegian airforce as 315211 and in July 1956 to Danish airforce as 68-683, later K-683. Returned to US owner and registered N3239W, then N5211A nad last-time N1944A. Presently flies by Wings Venture Ltd of Greenwich, Connecticut in marking of 92nd Troop Carrier Squadron / 439th Troop Carrier Group / 9th USAAF operated during Normandy invasion from Upotery airfield.
