Flight number

Hi I was wondering if there is a way I could find out the flight number for a flight plan. I am using the Super 80 from flight1 and it says for navigation i need to enter in the flight number and the departure and destination. I don't know the flight number so I put a fake one in and for some reason the transmission fails and I don't know why. It might be because the flight number is not correct but I was wondering if anyone knows why the transmission would fail?
