OK so this link is to a photo of a FSX 747?


two questions, is this the new 747-8 and is this the new default paint? the boeing pait in not a plus! any ideas?

There isn't enough of the plane for me to be sure , but I think it is the 744 or 747-400.

Historically, MS has not produced aircraft with real world airliner paint jobs. This may be for legal reasons since some airlines, American Airlines, for example, forbid the use of their liveries in commercial products.

I don't understand why. I always thought that it would make good advertising.
Why is it okay with some airlines but not with others?

From what I understand, the legal jargon is that permitting the commercial use of their livery dilutes their copyright/trademark claims and rights.

That said, they apparently don't object if someone does a repaint for a commercial product, as long as there is no charge for the repaint. That's why you can find AA repaints for CaptainSim and PMDG planes.

well boeing is a sponser of ms so they may be asking for them to use there paint job. do you still think thell have planes with paint jobs such as landmark, orbit etc??
