I'm in the process of choosing all my spec and requirements for building a new pc.
Given the choice, and despite the cost, which one of these would you go for ?.

3.2GHz Intel Pentium D 940
800FSB
2x 2048KB L2 Cache

Product Specifications
Manufacturer - Intel
Socket Type - Socket 775
Class / Rating - Pentium D 940
Clock Speed - 3.2GHz
Front Side Bus - 800MHz
Level 2 Cache - 2x 2048KB
Retail / OEM - Retail (includes Cooler)
System Requirements - Socket 775 Mainboard
Warranty - 3 Years With Manufacturer

or..................

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 64-bit
Socket AM2 / 2000MHz
512KB L2 Cache

Product Specifications
Manufacturer - AMD
Socket Type - AM2
Class / Rating - AMD Athlon 64 3500+
Clock Speed - 2200MHz
Front Side Bus - 2000MHz Hyper Transport Link
Level 1 Cache - 128 KB
Level 2 Cache - 512 KB
Retail / OEM - Retail
System Requirements - Socket AM2 Mainboard
Warranty - 3 Years With Manufacturer

The Intel is £162 GBP = $299 USD

The AMD is £117 GBP = $216 USD

but as said, the cost does'nt matter. Just to add, I'll also be using.........

2 x 250 GB h/d

2 GB RAM

256MB WinFast PX7600GT-TDH Extreme
VGA, DVI & HDTV
SLi Ready

so my question is, which CPU from the 2 above would you go for ??? cheers.
