What is Directx? I dont know much about graphics cards and all that technical stuff so i was just wondering. Is it something that you have to buy and put into your computer or is it something you just download to work with the graphics card that is on ur computer to make it better? Confused

Oh ok i kinda get it now.. i went to the microsoft website and downloaded directx9.0 but i dont see any difference when i play fs.. any idea why this is?
