It would be helpful if you mentioned a specific addon file, since not all of them install exactly the same way.

Sorry for making an ass out of you and me, but I assume it is done the same way as in FS 2004. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So far, I have seen two types. One has an installation program, so it is pretty much a no-brainer. The other is in a zip file that contains a directory structure so that it only needs to be extracted to the main FSX directory.

There may be others that I haven't seen, yet.
