Now if we're talking about classics then this is one that for some reason, always makes me smile and reminds me of a girl i was courting when i was younger, i don't know why, because she was called Carol and never gave me the run around.
By the way this is not in synch (as if you could'nt guess )

It always gets my feet going

Nonononono... I thought I'd managed to put this firmly behind me and now you bring it up again.
This dude approached me and suggested the two of us would make a great outfit. ...why not?
Trouble was, the only song he wanted to play was RUNAROUND SUE!! Him being the accomplished lead guitarist (can anyone hear a guitar solo in this song?) I was relegated to play rhythm... and yes, because I had the 'easy' part I had to do the singing as well... (NO I WILL NOT UPLOAD IT TO YOUTUBE!!)
I'd never even heard the song before so I had to learn the lyrics while MR. Lead guitarist did the ...hep...hep thing. Needless to say our collaboration didn't last long...
WHY did you have to remind me of that Welshflyer
BTW there is another song on my CD I like: The Wanderer |

STAMINA!!! I wonder how many songs AC DC could perform in one set without having to be put on the drip ...quite revealing thanks for that Welshflyer... ermm I had the volume turned right up and now the cops are outside wondering where the reported domestic is taking place... be right back

An obscure but pretty song full of sunshine and harmonies!
The Five Americans
Western Union

My thoughts exactly. There is an album called "The (very) best of The Five Americans" but 'Western Union' is the only song I could find.
BTW, your King also did a 'Western Union' I just discovered:

There's a new little lady here that is currently No1 in the single and album charts and guess where she's from , you've got it, Wales , and she's got a great voice
This is the same song but live on Jools Holland
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pOwFQkEwAg&feature=related
so it shows the girl can sing a bit and does'nt lip synch
Just a bit of info, if you can't sing or play live you don't get on "Later, live with Jools Holland" he only wants people that can actually perform, which is a nice change This is one from 14 years ago
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKlJzvjg-uM
and a favourite of mine that i heard on scrubs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5Oe1Oc62f0
sorry that cuts out half way through so here's them making their American debut on someones show i don't know. |

I'm still stuck on the second link you posted WF... why would she be called 'Duffy' when she looks like a Goddess...? Tell you what, she could sing me a lullaby any night of the week, or any time of any day for that matter ...can't take my eyes of her. Beauty about it is she can actually sing and has got that certain persuasiveness in her voice and presentation.
I think I'm in love ...again |

Ok, you might have heard, 'Big Jet Airliner', 'The Joker' and 'Abracadabra' -- the latter obviously not recommended for the average erm... 'believer's' palate -- but there's so much more to the Steve Miller Band ... the vinyl's cover you're looking at is self-explanatory.
Here are the first three songs on the original album:
For Firefox users:
1* Good Morning
This I feel is the way those tree songs should be listened to. It's no problem for Firefox users... I've no idea if and how I.E. users can line them up in a row and listen to them the way it was intended.
...and I'm sooooooooo tempted to analyze each song and point out the relation to one another...
But sanity prevails in the end. I'm thinking, if you can't hear the music... well, you just can't hear it
Yes, this does make sense |

Number 5 is the fifth album by American rock band The Steve Miller Band, released in 1970.
I've got the CD - the songs blend into one another. The guy who uploaded them to YouTube should have kept at least those three songs in one piece. Amazing what a good harp player and the sound of a twelve string acoustic can do.
P.S.: I realize that YOU had no problem with IE what with your hardware mods and rocket science... but what about the ordinary I.E. junkies? They're missing out on the coherency and thus on an uplifting experience. |

Tailhook i'll be checking out the above shortly , but as it's another tense weekend for Welsh sport with Joe Calzaghe fighting Bernard Hopkins in Vegas tomorrow (Joe has never lost a fight in his pro career and if he was English he'd probably be Sir Joe by now and known the world over), but he's stepping up a weight tomorrow so anything could happen! He started out as a nobody and was given no chance and was written off a few times but is the best boxer to come out of Wales bar none, so to all those doubters here's the Stereophonics live and the Manic Street Preachers(both Welsh bands) as a tribute to Joe!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCZxS277oD4
And while i'm on the subject of live music , i can't believe we have'nt had these and this is an accoustic classic |

Sorry, Everyone, if I've missed anything, but I haven't had the time to go through the whole thread.
I find that Peter Gabriel's song Red Rain is a great tune and I often listen to it when I'm on the sim.
Anyway, there's my opinion."Any landing you walk away from is a good landing" ...well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it... |
