Lessee...the "Flight Sim Competition" seems to be a sweepstakes: you "enter" and if they draw your name you win a prize. But they charge you a dollar to enter, and blatantly point out that the more you "donate" the better your chances of winning!

Now I'm not a lawyer, but I think that's illegal in the US, where people who run sweepstakes must allow you to enter without making any purchases or "donations," and must ensure that your chances of winning are the same whether you give them any money or not.

But even if I'm wrong and they are operating within the law, this "Flight Sim Competition" leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. They are not getting a dime from me, and I advise everybody else to boycot this sweepstakes too.

Since when has a raffle been illegal?

Chill out, ***hole. Believe it or not, there is nothing at all immoral about trying to make money...

Weather or not it's legal the donations go to the UK so technically the raffle is either under international or English law. I don't know if I am going to enter but if I do one dollar won't hurt I mean if I dont win I lost one doller if I do I gained over 349 dollars lol.

Enjoy this is meant to be fun this is not a s quick ploy to make money.

Regards Cheers!

So...?

Last time I looked there were more than 300 countries on this planet. The flightsim community is an international one and is NOT bound by U.S. law.

I sometimes wonder if people who spell U.S. as US have an inkling of the damage this practice can cause on a subliminal level.

Raffles are illegal? These products cost money (~370 US Dollars), I wouldn't buy a sh*tload of stuff and then give it away for free.
