Exactly how do you use Flight Environment X?

Hey simmers, I have a question. I have got Flight Environment X but i'm not certain how to get the clouds and water etc... in the game. I know you have to select what you want, hit install to fsx or whatever, then run fsx. But then what? Where are the clouds and stuff and how can I get it going. Because if I just install the themes and stuff and click start fsx, obviously fsx pops up and im just at the free flight screen. What would I do from there to see those amazing clouds and water in the game. Help would be great!
