Hey mate

You need to make sure it is a valid teamspeak server

And that your firewall is switched OFF!!!

Some good TeamSpeak servers include;

64.119.37.62 = WestcoastATC
81.171.14.140 = UKATC
70.85.87.202:8793 = WorldWideATC

No offense dude but....

There are NO programs that require your firewall to be SHUT OFF!!
All you have to do is know the ports the program uses and configure your firewall accordingly.
Very Happy

here is some good info on Teamspeak

TeamSpeak Server:

Service Default Port Location to change
Voice 8767 UDP web-interface (http://server-ip:HTTPServer_Port)
Web-Interface 14534 TCP server.ini: HTTPServer Port=
Tcpquery 51234 TCP server.ini: TCPQueryPort=

To get your server working behind a router / firewall you only need to forward/open port 8767 UDP (not TCP!).

And the Client part of Teamspeak

TeamSpeak Client:

TeamSpeak Client uses random ports from the whole 1024-65535 range for source port and sends to port 8767 (UDP) unless indicated otherwise.

Note:
The TeamSpeak Client doesn't usually require any configuration of routers or firewalls. Do NOT setup your router to do port-forwarding or similar, as this is only needed when running the server.
