Continental 777 In Flight

Continental 777 In Flight

Media information

Description
Continental Airlines, merged with United Airlines on 2010, flies this Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ 777-200ER as its long range flagship. Continental first used this plane on 1998 for a non-stop flight to Tokyo from Houston and Newark and also from Newark to Tel-Aviv. And it was United who first used 777 in its commercial flights in 1995. The ‘triple seven’ is powered by twin largest-diameter turbofan engines, that gives her a range of 5200 until 9300 nautical miles (depending on the model), a wide-body, and also Boeing’s first fly-by-wire airliner. Typical cruising speed is Mach 0.84. 777-200ER is the most common variant used worldwide with Emirates as the largest triple seven costumer with 77 planes in its fleet. Until present, 1000 units of 777 have been produced (orders have reached the number of 1,242 in total), and still counting in spite of its US$240 - 280 million (depend on the variants) price tags.
